Hi,

Does FL back up dual monitors? - I've got ii and FL won't let me drag any other windows over to the 2nd monitor.

Also, when I click on the monitor on the right hand side (with FL on the monitor on the left hand side) whatever song playing in FL stops, that is until I left mouse click in FL, and then the vocal plays dorsum again.

I did accept an issue with Cubase VST some time ago, and there was a card item, play in background which needed to be ticked and so equally to avert this trouble.  Is information technology possible to do something similar this in FL?

Thank you in advance

Yes, it does! :) Make sure "Don't limit windows to screen" is checked nether Options | Full general | Avant-garde. Unmaximize the Master window, then you can resize it to stretch beyond both monitors. Several of the windows also have a "Detached" selection on their View carte, which allows you to drag them to either monitor, even if the Main window is on your principal.

and if y'all're actually bent on playing the FL sound even when FL isn't your main window, in options>sound at that place is a tick for "run device in background" feature or something like that in the upper left hand corner.  (I think this feauture may just utilise when using an asio commuter, though)

Thanks Susan G and Outstretch,

I'll check it out when I FL'ing it next! 8)

Hi,

I couldn't find that selection, and I do use ASIO drivers.

Yep, it does! :) Make sure "Don't limit windows to screen" is checked under Options | General | Advanced. Unmaximize the Main window, then you lot can resize information technology to stretch across both monitors. Several of the windows also have a "Discrete" option on their View menu, which allows you to drag them to either monitor, even if the Primary window is on your primary.

Hey Susan,

For some odd reason the unmaximise window doesn't work.  I ticked the windows to screen pick and the audio options window etc... does become to the other screen

What version of FL are you using?

Wow,

It works now, very corking indeed.... :hehe:

But I still haven't found the play in background option.

Hi once more,

I've checked and double cheked only I can't find run device in background.  I have FL Studio six.0.viii with some software mixing application for my souncard and each time I try to tweak it the song stops, so if you lot have any pearls of wisdom I would appreciate it if yous let me know

Cheers in advance

and if you lot're actually aptitude on playing the FL audio fifty-fifty when FL isn't your main window, in options>audio there is a tick for "run device in background" feature or something like that in the upper left hand corner.  (I recall this feauture may only employ when using an asio driver, though)

OK, the problem has been solved.  In the ASIO panel at that place is an car close device option, which is handy if your using some other app.  If this is ticked (I may exist wrong) I recollect it gratis'due south up the ASIO ports and then as to avoid conflicts, so if yous have another app similar Cubase etc... the ASIO ports are not hogged past FL.  I have yet to exam this out though.  So every bit far every bit I can extrapolate at this moment in time it seems that me or anyone else trying to practice the same thing would take to alternate beteen checking the motorcar close device when not using FL and unchecking motorcar close device when using FL.

This for me I recollect is the best work effectually at this moment in fourth dimension.  If yous still accept some further ideas and suggestions, I would expect forward to you sharing your thoughts.

OK, the problem has been solved.  In the ASIO console there is an auto shut device option, which is handy if your using some other app.  If this is ticked (I may be wrong) I think information technology gratis'due south up the ASIO ports so as to avoid conflicts, so if you accept another app similar Cubase etc... the ASIO ports are not hogged by FL.  I have nonetheless to test this out though.  So as far as I can extrapolate at this moment in time information technology seems that me or anyone else trying to do the same thing would have to alternate beteen checking the auto close device when non using FL and unchecking auto close device when using FL.
